Distinctive and Global 6 Member Group, Debuting in Japan this Fall! B.A.P
Energetic First Solo Concert
The 6 member boy group B.A.P had their first solo concert in Japan on May 24th and 25th at the Yokohama Pacifico National Hall for their "Live On Earth Japan" tour.
On the 25th, before the performance there was a sold out crowd of 5000 fans enthusiastically cheering with the green Matoki light stick, as well as blowing whistles, just as is done by fans at Korean music programs. The opening video played on the screen, which then split in 2 and revealed the members dressed in white, to which the venue erupted in cheers.
The opening song was their Korean debut track "Warrior." The 3rd song was the wild dance number "No Mercy" which received loud cheering. "Wassup Japan! We, B.A.P, Yes sir!" was the group's greeting. When Daehyun (19) said in Japanese "We will soon be having our Japanese debut!" loud cheers echoed in the hall.
Wild & Manly
For a special stage, the two main vocalists, Daehyun and Youngjae (19) same "I Believe I can Fly," the youngest members Jongup (18) and Zelo (16) did their stage in the style of high school students in uniforms after school performing street dances. Leader Yongguk (23) and Himchan (23) performed "Sexy Clap" as a duo, and Yongguk tore open his shirt to reveal his sculpted abs.
Moving on, up until this point they had shown a very hard performance, but for the encore they performed "Stop It" and "Crash," which were more "poppy" and cute. Including their most recent track "One Shot," the group performed a satisfying 24 songs for their energetic and captivating concert.
Fans, Please wait a while, ok?
Before their concert, the 6 members had a press conference, and announced that this fall under King Records they will debut in Japan. Youngjae said in Japanese "We're really happy! We want to have Japanese fans listen to our music as soon as possible!"
When asked what they want to do in Japan, Himchan answered "We want to know how Korean and Japanese shows differ." Zelo answered "If we have the chance, we want to travel to many places in Japan!" To which Daehyun added with a smile, "Before the concert, we went to Hara-juku, and ate ice cream and ramen."
When asked how they felt about the previous day's performance on the 24th, Jongup said with a smile, "Japanese fans had their own seats, but everyone was standing and cheering, so it made us feel really good."
Leader Yongguk stated, "Our performances are different than other K-pop groups in that we show a different, tougher side that is appealing, I think."
