If B.A.P could parody a movie, it would be ...? Interview with MeRadio

In town last week (Aug 7 and 8) for their first ever solo concert B.A.P Live on Earth Singapore, Korean boy band B.A.P sat down with MeRadio.sg for an exclusive interview right before the start of their open press conference at a local mall.
Consisting of Bang Yong Guk, Him Chan, Dae Hyun, Young Jae, Jong Up and Zelo the group debuted in January 2012 and has since bagged at least 13 rookie awards.
Kicking things off, leader Bang Yong Guk gave a brief introduction to their recently released third mini album BADMAN.
“This album contains songs of different genres. We also have triple title tracks this time, and all three music videos are filmed on location in the United States. Please show lots of love for BADMAN,” the 23-year-old shared.
When probed which member had changed the most since their debut, Him Chan gave a humorous answer, “Our maknae (youngest member) Zelo has grown taller, and is still growing.” To which the 17-year-old shyly replied, “Thank you very much.”
It might be a rare affair to see B.A.P on Korean variety programmes, but if there is one member with a knack for them, the boys revealed that it would be member Jong Up.
Him Chan explained, “Jong Up is the funniest member amongst us; it’s a pity he’s a bit shy when he’s with others.”
“I’m a little uncomfortable showing myself when I’m on air or with people I don’t know,” Jong Up added.
Many K-Pop groups have parodied various dramas in recent years including Big Bang, who dressed up as characters from the hit K-drama Secret Garden.
Dae Hyun shared that B.A.P prefers action movies and if they could parody any movie, he would choose Shinsegae, Korean blockbuster movie which tells the story of a police officer undercover as a gang member (sounds like B.A.P’s ‘One Shot’ music video plot, doesn’t it?)
The 20-year-old explained, “We watched the movie together. I feel that there’s a character suitable for each of our members in the movie. Him Chan hyung (Korean for ‘elder brother’) probably fits the main character.”
As soon as Dae Hyun shared his thoughts, Zelo, who was sitting behind the former, quipped in a small voice, “I haven’t seen the movie ...” At 17 years old, the youngest member could not watch the movie due to its rating (which is equivalent to Singapore’s M18 rating).
