K-boy Paradise Group Interview

October 9th, you guys are finally making your Japan Debut. Also, Arena Tour is scheduled from November, but how are your feelings about it?

HC: As expected, I’m really glad that we are finally having Japan debut. Not only because we are having a concert at a huge venue, but the fact that we are able to meet BABY JAPAN(Official Fan Club) makes me more happy. I’m really looking forward to meet them.

This May, you had your first solo 2 days concert, and it was a great success. But did you feel any good response about your Japan debut from the concert?

HC: That concert at Yokohama was our first visit to Japan. This means, for most of the people it was their first time seeing us. We were worried and thought “Do Japanese people know about us?” but the amount of people who came to the concert surprised us. So I’m thinking that we can expect the same surprise for our Japan debut too.

Is there any unforgettable episode/story that you had during your first solo concert in Japan? Let’s start from Jongup-sshi.

JU: (surprised Jongup who totally wasn’t ready to be asked first) Oh, me?! Umm… what was the…

HC: It’s about your unforgettable memory! When we had our first concert in Japan.

JU: Oh, right. (laughs) Umm… We visited a lot of countries in Asia and America for our Pacific concert, but wherever we go, fans sang the song along with us during the concert. However, Japanese fans stood up from the seat for upbeat songs but listened to our song carefully for ballad songs, so that gave this strange feeling.

Was it different from other countries?

YG: My impression for Japanese fans was that they pay more attention and listen carefully to the music itself. Fans in other countries are more passionate and… I should say powerful. (laughs)

You went to various countries, but were there any places where you might want to live in? Also, did you have any memorable moments with the fans?

YG: I would like to try living in America and Greece. It’s not so busy and the calm culture there fit my personality.

HC: You can see what kind of personality Yongguk has by listening to him speaking. (laughs) In my case, I liked the tranquil atmosphere LA had when we visited there for our Pacific Tour. I remember the beautiful sky there~

JU: I know! It was really peaceful, and it made me think I want to live there for the rest of my life.

DH: I also remember the sky I saw in America. The sky looked really wide and huge. But wherever we go, I think every country has their special features.

YJ: I would say Japan! People in Japan are all polite and kind, so even though it’s really close from Korea, there’s unique culture and we can learn a lot of things from here.

ZL: I… Rather than thinking which country was good, by visiting various countries, I was just glad to see and realize things like “There are a lot of fans who love me.” I should thank all the fans for giving special experiences to a kid like me.

You are making your Japan debut with the song, “Warrior,” but is B.A.P’s image tough and powerful like “Warrior” as we expected?

HC: Yes. We don’t usually do stage which we smile and act cute all the way. So we would like to show our manliness to represent “Warrior.”

However, in those manliness, you showed fun side in “Stop It,” and matured sexiness in “Coffee Shop,” but are there any specific points that you would want us to focus on?

YG: Music industry in Japan is various, right? Among those various music, I heard that soft and warm taste is particularly popular. Because our music are mostly in heartful and hardcore style which has a mixture of Hip-hop, R&B and rock taste, I think you can enjoy the new taste from our music.

B.A.P’s MV and it’s degree of perfection is a popular topic in Japan too, but how long does it take to film it?

HC: It usually takes about 2~3 days to film the MV. Our latest song, “BADMAN” was filmed in a place called Detroit in America, but there were filming sets of the movie “Transformer” right next to where we had our MV shoot.
Most of our filming staff was saying that they are going to move on to filming “Transformer” when our MV shoot are done. Isn’t this amazing?
Our MV and “Transformer” have the same filming staff! It really was like filming Hollywood movies!

That’s amazing. Then, do you have any song which is memorable for you when filming MV?

DH: We are going to make Japan debut with the song “Warrior,” but our debut song in Korea was also “Warrior” too. I remember a lot about filming this MV, because there were scenes where we used fire and it was pretty dangerous. It was really memorable MV for me.

Then, let’s talk about that “Warrior.” When were you “Warrior” the most, and what did you fight for? This is a question to BangYonnguk-sshi.

DH: Oh, not me? (laughs)

We will ask one question for each person, so please wait for your turn. (laughs) Let’s start with you, BangYongguk-sshi.

YG: I think… that’s right “now.” Through the process of growing up as a man and expanding my horizons, I started to feel anger towards unfairness and irrationality in the society, and my passion of sending message to the world has become stronger than before. To fight against them, I decided to write some lyrics like the song “Warrior.”

Next is Himchan-sshi. It’s a question from “POWER.” When we write your name in Kanji, it will be「金力燦」. There is a kanji「力」(power) , in your name, but what does “power” means to you? Also, what do you think is the right way to use “power?”

HC: I think the power that I have is the power of influence. As an artist, I have a lot of fans who support me. By using my power of influence in a good way, I believe that I can lead those people in a better future.

Then, here is a next question for Daehyun-sshi about “Crash (Daebak Incident).” Until now from B.A.P’s debut, what was the greatest incident you had during those days?

DH: It’s finally my turn, right? (laughs)

Sorry for keeping you waiting. (laughs)

DH: It’s OK. (laughs) Recently, we had our Pacific Tour but during the tour, there were times when we thought them as “Daebak incident!”
Also in a radio program in Korea, I ended up revealing my abs by accident. It wasn’t a viewable radio, so the staff wasn’t taking video or anything but I was surprised to see the picture of my abs posted on the internet afterwards. I don’t know why they did that when I’m not in good a shape so much… That was when I thought I had a “Daebak incident!”

Next is a question from “Hajima(Stop It).” Youngjae-sshi, is there anything you want to restrain or stop yourself from doing?

YJ: I have this bad habit of biting my fingure nails. I want to stop it, but it’s hard for me to just get over this bad habit.

DH: You were saying the same thing in the previous interview too. (laughs)

YJ: Oh… really? (laughs)

Next is Jonup-sshi, we have a question from “One Shot.” You only have one chance in your life, but if you could fix something and do it all over again, what would you want to fix in your life?

JU: I would like to have a school life again. I just graduated from high school, but I already miss my time there. I was already trainee when I was in high school, and I didn’t have enough time to enjoy my school life, so if I can, I would like to go back and do it all over again.
Spending some time with friends would be awesome, but I think I was able to do better if I had more time on studying. But what I want to do the most, is to make some good memories.

And lastly, Zelo-sshi. There’s a question from “BADMAN.” Maybe it will be hard for you to say out loud, but which member do you think is the most “BADMAN?”

ZL: “BADMAN” is a song which we are sending warning messages to criminals. So, for them, we are the one who is “BADMAN,” right?

B.A.P: Wow! (laughs)

JU: Wow. (claps his hands)

ZL: Thinking from that theory, I would say Yonggukie-hyung is the “BADMAN.” He is just too good-natured.

JU: (looking very impressed) Yes, yes.

Among all the previous stages, you had unique performances like wearing armors and using spray cans. Are there any other unique performances or stage outfit that you would like to try in the future?

YG: (looking at the members) Do you have any ideas?

DH: We’ve been doing powerful concepts which give strong impact on the audience, so I would like to try something totally different from those. Like soft and sexy R&B taste, and maybe Hip-hop taste too.

B.A.P fans are famous for being enthusiastic and passionate, but are there any requests to Japanese fans like “Please support us in this way,” or “Please call us this way.”?

YJ: I think we are already receiving a lot of love and support from Japanese fans.

ZL: I think so too! Even it’s before our official activities in Japan, I really appreciate their support. I hope they continue to support and love us in the future too.

HC: I know that Japanese fans are the most passionate! I would be glad if I can see those passionate sides of them at the concert. And we will promise to show our various sides too!

DH: It would be nice if they can shout my name out loud even in the middle of the performance to know that I have a lot fans who support me. (laughs)

JU: I also want them to call my name out loud too. Even though we don’t understand different languages, it’s great to know that a lot of people from all over the world are able to shout our names out loud. (laughs)

I heard that you listen to your fans’ voice a lot, but is there any memorable comments or post that you refer to on the official fan café’s message board?

HC: One time I saw this comment from our fan, saying “Himchan~ you gained weight~.” (laughs) Whenever I read those comments, I feel the urge to lose my weight, but then next I see these comments saying “You are too skinny!”, and I try to eat more… So I use those kinds of comments for my reference! Haha (laughs)

YJ: When we have our comeback, we usually post the video first on the fan café. This time it took longer to announce our comeback then the last one, but everyone was patiently waiting for us. A lot of people send us messages.
So rather than picking one particular comments or posts, I am filled with happiness whenever I see the whole message board. I would think “I am loved by this much people.”

I know that you play around each other a lot, but what kind of pranks do you play with other members?

HC: Recently, on my birthday, members were planning to have a surprise party for me. However, I noticed it (laughs) and everyone was in a panic.

That would definitely make everyone get flustered. (laughs) Also, I heard that you guys often tell false information to deceive each other…

YJ: It’s not that serious! (laughs) For example, recently I’ve told a lie to Zelo “We have some work scheduled today,” even though it was our day off. It’s a simple jokes that we tell each other.

Have you ever told some jokes in return, Zelo-sshi?

ZL: I’m a type of person who gets tricked on rather than playing tricks on somebody. (laughs) But after those jokes, I tend to doubt any information which seems suspicious.

Who do you think is the most popular among girls in Korea and in Japan?

YG: I would say Daehyun is the most popular both in Korea and Japan. Because he’s handsome and good at singing. (laughs) Even across the borders, the sensitivity we feel from the song is the same.

HC: But I think Zelo is also popular in Korea too. I hope I get more popular in Japan~. Haha (laughs)

DH: I also think that Zelo is the most popular. He is tall, has white skin and has a lot of talents, so anyone who sees him would love him instantly.

YJ: He’s also our maknae, so he’s cute too. In addition, he has a lot of charisma and high sense on the stage too so…

ZL: Ah… (feeling shy and awkward) It’s a little embarrassing to listen to my hyungs saying that I’m cute. I think that in Korea, manly Yonggukie-hyung, and in Japan, handsome Himchannie-hyung are popular in each country!

JU: I also think that Himchannie-hyung will be the most popular member in Japan too~. Because he looks strong and handsome.

Lastly, can you give a message to Japanese fans?

YG: From the day we debut in Korea, having our debut in Japan was one of our goals.
Actually having our dream come true, we are very excited about it. I would want everyone to look forward to our activities, and it would be nice if you can enjoy our concert tour. We are going to meet you soon, so please wait for us until then!

Yongguk & Himchan Pair Interview

"I've become more laid back because of Yongguk." (Hicmhan)
"Thanks to Himchan, my personality has brightened." (Yongguk)

Q: Even in Japan it is well known that you 2 get along well. Please tell us what similarities and differences between you.
Yongguk: Something…similar…?
Himchan: Nothing.
YG: Nope.
HC: Actually, I'm glad there aren't any similarities, if we were similar to each other there'd be trouble (laughs).

Q: Then differences.
HC: I'm a noisy and busy type of person, while Yongguk is very laid back and relaxed.
YG:  Exactly. (laughs)

Q: Alright, since you're such good friends, tell us something special about the other.
HC: Since we were trainees, Yongguk has been writing lyrics pretty much everyday. He writes songs and music, that's something our fans haven't seen, only we've seen that part of Yongguk. In 1 day, he'd usually have something made, he's a true artist.

Q: Something Bang Yongguk knows about Himchan.
YG: It's not a secret, but…Himchan loves to goof off. More than a "hung," he's a friend to the younger members.

Q: Okay, now something you're envious about the other.
YG: Himchan's personality is very friendly. As I said, he loves playing around and having fun, but actually he is also a very delicate person. I'm envious of that.
HC: Because I'm pretty quick-tempered, seeing Yongguk taking it easy makes me want to do the same. Because I'm a little too irritable, I'd like to be more relaxed (laughs).

Q: You two are the oldest members, but do you see the younger members as being "cute" or are you surprised by them sometimes?
HC: Aaah, both.
YG: I have those feelings everyday.

Q: Can you give us some examples?
YG: During conversations, when there's something they don't understand and we have to go through and explain everything, maybe those times? But actually because they are still young, they are pure and I think that is very cute. I want them to go on being pure forever.

Q: It also seems like you two influence each other?
HC: When we're together, I'm more calm than usual. In the past, I was actually more irritable but I feel that (having met Yongguk) I have changed.
YG: I think I've become a brighter person (smiles).

Q: You've been called the "Married Couple" (Husband/Wife couple) or Masculine Combo.
Both: BUWAHAHAHAHAH (explosive laughter, putting their heads together and laughing)

Q: If you could chose your couple name, what would it be?
HC: Since we're the oldest, it should be something like "elders," right? (in Japanese) "Mothers?" (Okaasan) "Old ladies?" (Obaasan)

---- You mean "Old Men," right? (Ojiisan)
HC: Ojiisan! (explosive laughter) Yes that's great!

From Daehyun & Youngjae
What do you think of the Yongguk and Himchan couple?

Q: What do you know of Yongguk & Himchan's friendship episodes?
D: A lot…
YJ: They're kind of like us.
D: They're similar to us, but they help each other more. Yongguk was an underground rapper and is this quiet, calm guy, but when he's with Hicmhan he changes to this laughing, fun hyung. Yongguk's smile is because of Himchan, and Himchan acting more like an older brother is also because of Yongguk.
YJ: Also, when we are recording, Yongguk is the director of everything, but Himchan is making noise, and for some reason it's kind of awkward (laughs). Because they're both the same age.

From Jongup & Zelo
What do you think of the Yongguk and Himchan couple?

Q: What do you know of Yongguk & Himchan's friendship episodes?
JU: Those 2 are complete opposites, but because of that they actually get along well it seems…(At this point, Himchan has started watching them and it seems like Jongup and Zelo are getting nervous) . Hyungs are mature and seem like lifelong friends!
Zelo: I agree!

YoungJae & Daehyun Pair Interview

“I envy Daehyun’s voice, it’s like a ringing bell” (Youngjae)
“I envy Youngjae’s voice, it has R&B taste in it” (Daehyun)

Even in Japan, the close relationship between you two is quite famous…

YJ: (In Japanese) We are close~

DH: (showing unsure expression on his face) …..

Hmm? You two are… close, right?

DH: (In Japanese) Yes!! That’s right~

That’s good to hear. (laughs). So, please tell us what your personality and hobby are, and how you two are similar and different.

DH: First of all, I should say that we have totally different personality. However, that makes us easier to understand each other and have similar thoughts. Because we are the same age, we are able to have heart-to-heart talk and support each other by filling up the parts we lack. But I feel that Youngjae supports me more than I support him (laughs).

When do you feel the difference in personality?

YJ: Daehyun used to live in Busan for quite a long time so…

DH: I’m simple-minded, right? hahaha~

YJ: He’s honest and upright at heart, really. Daehyun can move by his instinct and put his thoughts into action quickly, but I have some parts where I’m more indecisive so… I think that’s where we are different in personality.

DH: Please say that in Japanese!

YJ: (In Japanese) Daehyun has a manly personality? Like… man-ish?

Manly?

YJ: (In Japanese) Kind of like manly! I’m a little… think a lot…. before I do something… think first and…

and then you put your thought into an action?

YJ: (In Japanese) Yes!!

DH: (In Japanese) I’m sorry!  We are still studying Japanese so…

Oh, no. Your Japanese is very good (laughs). Since you two are very close, please tell us something special about each other that no one others know.

DH: Youngjae has a bad habit of biting his fingure nails. But all of the members are familiar with this.

YJ: Because Daehyun came from Busan, he has his own special intonation at the end of his talks. That unique intonation is something special, maybe?

Please tell us if you have something where you feel jealous of the other.

DH: If you ever listened to us singing, you’ll notice this, but my vocal is powerful when Youngjae’s voice has R&B taste in it.

YJ: I like Daehyun’s voice, it’s like a ringing bell.

DH: Like a ringing bell? Try saying that in Japanese.

YJ: (looking very lost and confused) ….?!

DH: hahaha (laughs)

What would the couple name be if you both got to make it?

DH: Our couple name? Hmm… Do you have any idea? (passing the question to Youngjae)

YJ: Since we are both in charge of vocals, maybe something like “Vocal Line”… I think this best fits our image.

Fans call your couple the “dazzling eyeballs purification line,” (*Sorry I honestly had no idea how I can translate this in English… it was SUPER weird in Japanese too…#bys-YUI) which means that you guys are a perfect feast for their eyes. What do you think about this?

DH: I’m really thankful for seeing us like that but…

YJ: There are a lot of people out there who are much more handsome than us!

DH: Maybe that’s because our company is good at taking good pictures of us? I think those people who saw those pictures are saying that.

YJ: I think that it’s not because of the pictures that our company has taken, but the pictures that were taken by our fans.

DH: Then… doesn’t that makes us the “Visual vocal line?!” (laughs)

YJ: HAHAHA!!! (laughs really hard) *They couldn’t stop laughing*

DH: But like I said, I still don’t think that kind of names fit me. (embarrassed) Just let only Youngjae be that “Visual vocal line!!” (laughs)

From Bang Yongguk & Kim Himchan
What do you think of the Daehyun&Youngjae couple?

Q:What do you know of Daeyhun and Youngjae’s friendship episode?

HC: They are funny, really! All my dongsaengs are funny. In their case, whenever Daehyun has something like food or anything, Youngjae always seeks for something good and just tries to snatch it from him. (laughs)

YG: Like they are fighting in a friendly way. Like playing around each other.

HC: Yeah. Daehyun should just give him something to satisfy him, but he never lets Youngjae take his stuff too.

From Jongup&Zelo
What do you think of the Daehyun&Youngjae couple?

Q:What do you know of Daeyhun and Youngjae’s friendship episode?

JU: I can see that Daehyunnie hyung and Youngjae hyung are very close to each other. They are like close friends who always hang around at school. I think Daeyhunnie hyung and Youngjae hyung are like close classmates when Yonggukie hyung and Himchannie hyung are like old friends, maybe? They are like old friends who been around each other for a long time. They used to hang around when they were young, and they still spend a lot of time each other even now…their relationship is something like that. I don’t know how I can explain this~… (laughs)

ZL: A little young and childish friendship, maybe? Compared to the relationship Younggukie hyung and Himchannie hyung have, Daehyunnie hyung and Youngjae hyung’s friendship has more young and childish image. Their images are like them running and playing around together like kids. But I know that we look similar to that from hyungs’ sides.

JU: I bet we are running around more than them. (laughs)

Zelo & Jongup Pair Interview

"Jongup looks good in his fits of laughter" (ZELO)
"The 2 of us both like goofing off" (JongUp)

Even at Japan, both of you are known for being good friends, tell us about similarities and differences of your thinking, linking, and character.
JongUp: Well first we both like to fool around a lot.
ZELO: We laugh and talk of similar topics.

When you 2 are together, what do you talk of for example?
ZELO: With hyung we talk about things around us. We talk about dance, and other things.

DaeHyun says that you both talk about the galaxy a lot, but what kind of topics do you talk about?
JongUp: (excitedly) Please listen! I was so shocked! The sun is a few thousand times more than Earth, but there is a bigger planet than the sun! How large the universe is… That is so mysterious. (Making a small circle with fingers) Us on Earth is so small though. We talk about those mysteries of the galaxy.
ZELO: Hehehe. (laughs)

Such a scale of talk!? We’re going back to the topic of you both, but tell us of your habits that you know of each other since you guys are close.
ZELO: Sleep talking.

What kind of things do you say for example?
ZELO: It differs every time. (laughs) When you wake up, you just blabber a word... You know.

Do you both share the same room to sleep?
ZELO: All members sleep in the same room.

I see. Anything JongUp realized of ZELO’s habits?
JongUp: Everyone knows this, but ZELO blinks a lot.
ZELO: Huh? Why’re you saying my habits?
JongUp: What? Am I not supposed to?
ZELO: Oh, the ‘sleep talking’ I said just now, was about me. (laughs)

Oh really? (laughs) Then can you tell us JongUp’s habits now?
ZELO: He looks like the calm one, but he does and says funny things?
JongUp: Ahahahahahaha. (laughs)
ZELO: Hehehehehe.
(Laughs friendlily)

You guys must be very close. Then can both of you tell of each other’s admiration of each other?
JongUp: Em, overall, I admire Zelo. Hehehe. (blushes)

Where especially are you admiring of?
JongUp: Height! He’s tall.
ZELO: For me, it’s the shoulders! JongUp has broad shoulders that look cool when he dances.

Many fans call you both the “Maknae Line” or “(Dancing) TWOTOP” but what would the couple name be if you both got to make it?
JongUp: Em…. Moon&ZELO? Since it’s Moon JongUp and ZELO. (laughs)

I see… That’s good, but something that describes yourselves more?
JongUp&ZELO: Em… (Thinks while smiling)
ZELO: Oh, Maknae Line ON TOP! (rap tone)
JongUp: Oh!

What does it mean?
ZELO: It means “Maknae Line ON TOP”!
Jongp: The N for ‘line’ and ‘on’ connected so it sounds like ‘Maknae Linontop’.
ZELO: Yep! Maknae Line ON TOP! (rap tone)

From DaeHyun&YoungJae
What do you think of the JongUp&ZELO couple?

Q:What do you know of JongUp and ZELO’s friendship episode?
DaeHyun: There are so many I don’t know what to start with. (laughs)
YoungJae: They are both mysterious boys.
DaeHyun: Yeah, so I think they cope well with each other. They are both pure, so they talk of deep topics. Like discussing about the galaxy! (laughs) They talk of things they are curious of.
YoungJae: From the start, they always used to talk of what they just thought of. If it were us, even if we’re curious, if it’s something we don’t need to know, we’d just ignore it right? But they would want to know, and research on it.

"I like JongUp’s shoulders! They are cool when he dances" (ZELO)
"ZELO is tall and I’m envious" (JongUp)

From Bang YongGuk&HimChan
What do you think of the JongUp&ZELO couple?

Q:What do you know of JongUp and ZELO’s friendship episode?
HimChan: They are really kids. (laughs) They’re young.

DaeHyun and YoungJae said they both are mysterious boys….?
HimChan: They think the total opposite as us. For example, usually (points at the cup on the table) you say “this is orange juice”, but instead of thinking it as a drink, they think of it as something else…, they think uniquely.
BangYongGuk: They are mysterious, strange, or pure… Or just a mystery. (laughs)

B.A.P Solo Interview: Youngjae
Vocal - "I like Japanese Anime, I watch it a lot."

Questions With B.A.P Based On Their Group Name

Q. Where is the BEST PLACE for B.A.P?

I think the concert hall that shows all of B.A.P’s passion. Especially when we visited Japan for our Pacific tour, we were able to do additional performances, which we still remember.

Q. What is the ABSOLUTE RULE in B.A.P?

Succeeding one’s own role? B.A.P becomes a perfect one team when all 6 members are united. So, it’s important to play your role and work hard and improve. The way is still long, so there’s more to improve ^^.

Q1. Tell of your favorite Japanese cuisine. @Natsul_Pepero
I like natto the best! Now a lot of people in Korea likes natto.

I want to go hang out with the members, it can be anywhere near. It’s really fun talking to them, so I wonder how fun it will be if we hang out and play together!

[Interview]
Q1. As B.A.P’s lead vocal, what do you not want to lose to DaeHyun who is the vocal too?
Something I don’t want to lose to DaeHyun…? (Thinks for a while) DaeHyun and I sing and prefer different music style. DaeHyun likes ferocious and strong music, and probably good at them, but I like rhythmical pieces better, and good at them. Thus, in those songs I think I can do better.

Q2 YoungJae who is always working out, what is your favorite training and why?
I don’t really like muscular stiff bodies, but like slim and fit bodies. I’m a little large in body size, so I did a lot of aerobic exercises more than muscular training. There is a exercise called crossfit that basically balances your body, and I did that mainly.

I’m not very sure, but if I wasn’t doing a job related to music… I used to want to do a lot of jobs. Hair stylist, cook, fashion designer were the ones I was interested and felt they were cool. If I didn’t become a singer I might’ve been doing those jobs.

Q4 I heard you like electronics, and in Japan, electronics=Akibahara. Did you go there before?
I never had been there yet. Actually, I’m not too much into electronics. (bitter laugh) When we were about to debut, we shot a reality program, and I was a character who likes electronics. That’s why a lot of people think I like electronics, but I don’t like it a lot, nor am I an early adapter who buys new things quickly.
-------------------Then what would you buy in Akibahara if you would?
Maybe cameras or lenses. I like taking pictures~
-------------------You like anime too right?
Yes, I do! I actually really like Japanese Anime. I watched quite a few.
-------------------Then you would have to buy Anime DVD’s in Akibahara. (laughs)
Yes! (laughs)

Q5 Tell about yourself in a sentence.
My motto is ‘having a good start is accomplishing half of what you do’. Everything, when starting is hard, is tiring and troublesome too, but I think the effort to try starting is important, so I like this saying.

B.A.P Solo Interviews – Zelo
Rap&Dance “Because my hyungs take care of me a lot, I’m happy that I was maknae.”

[Black box] Questions using B.A.P's group name

Q: Where is your "BEST" place?

ZL: I would say it’s the practice room that we spend most of our time together, working hard until we cover ourselves in sweats. To tell the truth, we spend more time in the practice room than in our dorm. Also, practice room is where we create our cool performance, so I personally have attachment to it.

Q: What is an "ABSOLUTE" rule in the group?

ZL: We, B.A.P, think that “to accord each other every courtesy (have good manners)” is important. According courtesy and having manners don’t matter how old you are, but I think these are essential when respecting each other.

Q: What is B.A.P's "PERFECT" day?

ZL: It’s always a perfect day whenever we are up on the stage. Being able to stand in front our fans, With members I love and with the music and dance I want to do, I feel fulfilled and happy.

Q4 from: aoneko_kazuya: Tell us what you always have with you.
HC: Wallet and ipod so that I can listen to music while heading to the next location. And because I have a lot of interests in fashion, for a one point fashion item, I always have sunglass and rings with me.

Q5 from @chamse_97: What was the 1 present from a fan that surprised you the most?
HC: For our concerts and fan meeting events, our fans make donations instead of giving us flowers and presents. Every time we see them, we would be proud of our fans thinking “Our fans are wonderful.”

[Interview]
Q1. You often take pictures of your fans, but what kinds of reactions you get from them make you feel happy?

HC:Fans usually says “Please don’t take pictures~” and try to avoid it, when I try to take pictures. But they actually do poses and peaces when I held my camera in front of them. I think those kinds of interactions are funny. Also seeing them smiling makes me happy too.

….What kind of pictures do you take?

HC: I take a lot of picture at the concert, and seeing them all sweaty from jumping around over 2 hours… I think they look wonderful there. It’s a proof that fans also enjoyed the concert like we did, so there’s a lot of meaning to these pictures.

Q2. Himchan-ssi is famous for your fashionable style, but do you have any particular brands or style that you like? Also, do you have a certain fashion style that you prefer girls to wear?

HC: There are many brands that I like. It changes through the season but… if I say it in style, autumn and winter would be formal suits style, and summer would be street fashion style. For girls fashion, I prefer girly ones. Like a one-piece dress.

Q3. You Japanese is very good, but where did you learn it?

HC: Actually, we take some lessons from a professional Japanese teacher. Also (pointing out at one of the TS Ent. staff) we learned a lot from this person here. We also learn a lot at our company too. My favorite Japanese is “Aitakatta(I wanted to meet you).”

Q4. We heard that you went through a really tough diet, but specifically, what did you do to lose so much weight?

HC: I just spent busy days as I can! I think that’s the most important thing to lose weight. I tried to have as much busy schedule as I can from the second I wake up until I go to sleep. Also, I did a lot of work outs and it’s important to have a well balanced food too. I mostly ate chicken and celeries. Just don’t eat any food that will make you fat. So I lost weight by trying to run around whole day having a busy schedule.
During that time, I had so much fun learning about music, so I never felt this diet was tough.

Q5: Please describe yourself in one word.

HC: I would say, “positive?” I would like to have a positive life forever from now on. And want to be always happy with my life.

[Black box] Questions using B.A.P's group name

Q: Where is your "BEST" place?

Q: What is an "ABSOLUTE" rule in the group?

Wouldn't it be a day when we have no regrets about a stage performance? Because whatever stage we perform on, I don't want to disappoint anyone who comes to see us. D: I'm the kind of person who absolutely does the things I think of doing. In that respect, I think I'm manly, but to be honest I don't really think of myself that way. Actually, a lot of people think that way of me since I'm from Busan, but actually I was born in Gwangju and passed through Busan before coming to Seoul. That's why I'm from a lot of different places (laughs)

----Where do you have the feeling of being the the longest?

D: Gwangju was the longest, but there's strong memories of when I was in junior and senior high school in Busan.

Leader & Rap: "I'm not good at talking, I say what I want through music."

[Black box] Questions using B.A.P's group name

Q: Where is your "BEST" place?

The best place is of course the recording studio. Since we debuted under the name of B.A.P, it hasn't just been in Korea but also Japan that we have received a lot of love for our music. The recording room is where B.A.P's music was born, so I think it is the best place.

Q: What is an "ABSOLUTE" rule in the group?

Everyone's probably thinking the same thing, but an absolute rule in the group is etiquette. Wherever we are, whatever we do, between people manners are the most important.

Q: What is B.A.P's "PERFECT" day?

For about a year and a half we've been promoting and receiving a lot of love, so we've gained success that way, but it seems like a perfect day has yet to come. The day when B.A.P's music is loved worldwide and we have "Conquered the world with music,"  that will be our perfect day.

[Red box] Answering Questions from Fans without Holding Back

Q1 from @Natsui_Pepero: Please tell us what Japanese food you like.
YG: I like sushi the best. In Korea I eat it often, but when in Japan, I of course intend to eat sushi.

Q2 from @kumo81243: B.A.P has been really busy with your world tour, but given free time what would you want to do?
YG: I want to go on a trip. Going overseas, it doesn't have to be for a long time, just to get away from everyday life, see new scenery and meet new people, I think I'd get new inspiration.

Q3 from @koume825: What do you think when you see the fashion of your Japanese fans?
YG:  I think it's cool, you can see them confidently wearing loud colours and styles. People have their personal styles, I think that's good.

Q4 from: aoneko_kazuya: Tell us what you always have with you.
YG: I always have my wallet and a book with me. I want to be absorbed reading many things, but since we have many schedules I usually can't. Still, if I have even a little time, I I try to read.

Q5 from @chamse_97: What was the 1 present from a fan that surprised you the most?
YG: When fans donate in my name. I think fans always want to be good influences, but they actually make donations in my name. I'm so touched!

[Interview]
Q1: I think your rapping reaches the level of an idol. What is rap to you?

YG: I'm not good at speaking with people, and since I don't speak much, I use rapping as my "avenue" (route) to say what I want. It's speaking to the world, you know? More than words, I've become able to speak to people through music.

----Previously, what kind of personality did you have?

YG: It wasn't very positive, so making friends with people was a bit difficult, that's why I don't speak much…That's why what I want to say and what I want to tell the world, I've come to express through music.

Q2: Bang Yongguk has shown skills as a song writer, when are you inspired (what inspires you)?

YG: It changes with the album. I really like looking at 'pictures,' so when I'm reading or looking at a picture I get inspiration. Also, when watching movies, also suddenly while talking with someone there are times when inspiration hits, it happens many ways.  It happens suddenly in that moment.

Q3: You give off the feeling of a dependable leader, but what do you usually keep in mind as a leader?

YG: Firstly, it's the most important thing that our members have talked about, is that we are presenting ourselves under the banner of singers, so singers need to act as singers, and artists as artists. Also, I think the members do better having freedom rather than being suppressed. We are looked upon by a number of people, so we want to be artists that can express what we want within that frame. We're probably conscious artists.

Q4: Bang Yongguk is famous for liking the "Winnie the Pooh" Character Tigger, but what do you like about the character?

YG: It's because I was playing with a Tigger stuffed animal when I was really small. I got it from my grandmother and grandfather, a Tigger stuffed animal was the first present I ever got. From when I was young until now, I've always had it. That's why Tigger is a very special character to me.

-----Do you also often watch the "Winnie the Pooh" cartoon?

I watched it when I was small. Lately, not really…(laughs).

Q5: Please describe yourself in one word.

YG: I'm…I'm a stone?
Ah, maybe "Rock." Huhu (laughs)

On kboyparadise twitter, staff posted some accounts of their time with B.A.P, mostly about the game where they asked members to answer questions on a piece of paper.

  • Jongup kept having to erase his answers as they made B.A.P's manager mad. "He kept writing, then having to erase, write and erase again...It was really funny."

  • Although the members are very cool rapping and dancing, in person they are so modest it's cute, but when a staff member just trying staring at them, they are very "mysterious" people.
  • Yongguk made a mistake during the game and wanted a new paper. However, the staff pointed out there was an eraser on the marker. Yongguk looked and went "Eh, this is an eraser?" Zelo then used it to erase some writing, and Himchan exclaimed "OOOH!" and they all got excited together, marvelling that such a thing as an erasable marker exists in Japan.
  •  Zelo was alone for the end of the game. He got up, got pocky (peppero in Korea) and came back to the room~
