New Information from the Press conference
The reporter asked why their music is so popular worldwide, receiving a lot of awards, Yongguk proudly answered “The part where we can appeal and express the most is our music. And I think the manliness we show on stage is where people feel that we are special and different from other K-POP artists.” He also said “We get a lot of inspirations in music from R&B, Hip-Hop, Soul music, ballads and many other genres, so we would like to make the most of them in our music. If we have some chance, we would like to present some songs that we composed ourselves in the future too.” and showed some enthusiasm for the future activities.
Next, the reporter asked to share us some good points of each member, so they introduced the member sitting next to them.
Daehyun → Jongup: Jongup is good at dancing!
Jongup → Himchan: Himchan hyung is very handsome and nice. He always plays with his dongsaengs (brothers) together!
Himchan → Yongguk: Yongguk is really good at composing songs. He also shows his wonderful skill of being a leader of a group.
Yongguk → Youngjae: To be honest, we aren’t really used to praise each other like this… (laughs) Youngjae is a kind hearted and a good singer. I am happy to see him becoming more and more handsome each day. I’m proud of him.
Youngjae → Zelo: Zelo is tall, has a cute face, really good at dancing and his performances are perfect. I envy him. (laughs)
Zelo → Daehyun: Daehyun hyung is very handsome, and his singing skill is perfect. I like how he can put his feelings in when singing.
Lastly, leader Yonnguk gave some messages to Japanese fans, saying “Our debut in Japan has officially announced today. Please look forward to our new album. We will work harder to reach our fans’ expectations. Thank you very much,” and promised their activities in Japan.

At an interview with the 6 member Korean group B.A.P, they revealed they will debut in Japan under King Records this fall. The main vocalist Young Jae (19) said in Japanese, "We were so happy that our Japanese debut had been decided. We'll do our best." Leader Yongguk (23) said "We want many people to have fun [with our music]. We want to become a group of which much can be expected of" with a lot of power in his words.
B.A.P debuted last year with 6 members, Yongguk, Young Jae, Zelo (16), Himchan (23), Daehyun (19), and Jongup (18). After their record-speed rise in the Korean music word, a year and half since their debut they'd had their first live concert in Seoul of February last year at Seoul Olympic Park Hall in front of 8000 fans. They started their tour on the 7th of this month to 4 American cities (LA, NY, DC and SF), Japan, Taiwan, Singapore and Hong Kong, and with the tickets for each concert selling out on the same day as sales, they've decided on their debut in Japan.
With their first Japanese live shows for their "B.A.P Live on Earth Pacific Tour" at the Yokohama Pacifico National Convention Center on May 24th and 25th, the members came to Japan and on their first day here went to have fun sightseeing in Hara-juku, Tokyo. Daehyun said "I ate ice cream and ramen. We got to see a lot." Himchan answered questions asked in Japanese, saying "I had been studying Japanese for 6 months."
When asked about the first day of their concert, the members all replied with a lot of feeling, "There were many Japanese fans who came to our first concert to see us, we were really surprised," "I feel so grateful to be receiving all this love [from fans]." With the second day of their concert, they will have performed for 10,000 people.
Under King Records, this fall will see them debut in Japan, and when asked about their future prospects they answered "We're aiming for a new originality for our Japan (debut)," and also "After the initial release, within this year we'd like to have a tour here."

[!] EDITABLE PICTURES

am I the only one around here that doesn't feel extremely excited about their Japanese debut?I would love to see another comeback, but not in Japanese!I'm afraid it will change their sound and style somehow...stick to your Korean songs pleaseeeee ;____;
ReplyDeleteHonestly for most people it shouldn't make a difference since most fans don't speak Korean or Japanese anyways. And it's not like we live in Korea and now won't have the chance to see them in person every week. It really shouldn't be any different where they are making music as long as it is good, and it's far too early to say it won't be.
DeleteThe only thing I am not really looking forward to are the Japanese versions of their existing songs, because in most cases it just doesn't come off very well.
DeleteBut I am REALLY excited to see them make some new music. Other Kpop groups have released amazing Japanese singles, and I think we can expect a lot from B.A.P. They'll still be B.A.P, just in a different language and promoting in a different country.
And on a selfish note, as someone who lives in Japan, I am so excited to be able to see and hear more of them here :3
I totally agree! If they released the Japanese version of "Warrior" and "Stop It," it will be WEIRD haha
DeleteI also want them to release some new songs for their Japan debut too! I'm just looking forward to see them more in Japan XD
And thank you for updates Nicole!! I feel like I'm not doing any work recently...sorry X(
